A limited desktop fragrance created for the atelier of Setsuya KUROTAKI and released to mark the publication of his first book, みえないものをデザインする.

philosophie des instinkt takes ‘the philosophy of instinct’ as its point of departure, drawing on figures and dialogues associated with Plato. Within the pair, concentration in anticipation of an idea is read as life, while release from the act of creation is read as death.

A woody quartet rooted in thought and the search for truth: hiba and cedarwood establish an earthly balance; vetiver rises with an oriental depth; mint opens a clear point of catharsis.
